I hold a MSc. Degree in Biological Anthropology specializing in Primatology.I am interested in working on Primates and Conservation. I am also interested in Conservation education.

Conservation

Hey! I'm Alexia, from Argentina, and I'm currently looking to network with other wildlife lovers, learn from their experiences and capacities, and further nurture my knowledge of conservation. I'm currently finishing my Master's thesis in Biodiversity Conservation, which is focused on how plastic pollution is impacting coastal ecosystems. I have experience in research, partnerships and alliances, teaching a wide range of audiences, and leading different environmental-related projects. I have a keen interest in ocean conservation. Thus, I intend to shift my professional career toward that area. For this, I have completed marine conservation courses and fulfilled the scuba diving certifications of Divemaster and Scientific Diver. Any suggestions on other courses or capacities that are necessary to fulfill my purpose will be most welcome. I can't wait to meet you all. ;)

My research focus is the cultural and utilitarian ways rural communities value wildlife with a focus on endangered apes in the Democratic Republic of Congo. I used mixed methods including doing interviews with community members and reconnaissance walks in adjacent village forests. My goal is to work for a conservation organization that partners with communities to find conservation solutions and implement initiatives that benefit both people and animals relevant to the local context.

Hello Everyone! I am so glad to meet you all here in WildHub community. My area of expertise is Project Management and I am currently into Monitoring and Evaluation of the consultancy. I’ve played sports since high school, so I joined a local softball league to stay in shape and meet new people in the area. I’m the captain of our team this year, so I ask my team to show up an hour early to warm up and run some plays before the game. I even helped a fellow team members improve their swing. I encourage everyone to communicate during the game and try to keep each player involved so they can get more experience. I want to be a leader in my next employment position, and my experience as a team captain has provided me with opportunities to conduct training and boost morale in tough situations.

I am a Microbial genomics researcher at the University of Zakho, it is a quite different from biodiversity and conservation field when it comes to applications, but I am here to know how this platform works and how our students at UoZ can add and learn from the experts.
