Holding a degree in Forestry and Wildlife, I possess strong expertise in species conservation and management. Committed to implementing effective conservation strategies and fostering community collaboration to protect and sustain natural resources.
My name is Huruma David Mwasomola. I have a background in Wildlife Management, and I’m passionate about environmental conservation, research, and promoting human-wildlife coexistence. Over the years, I’ve gained experience working on various conservation projects focusing on wildlife monitoring, mangrove restoration, biodiversity surveys, and community outreach programs. My work has involved data collection using tools like Kobo and ODK, GIS mapping, monitoring and evaluation, and engaging with local communities to support sustainable conservation efforts. I'm always eager to learn and collaborate on projects that contribute to preserving our natural ecosystems.
I am a recent graduate from the Wildlife Research and Training Institute, with a passion for conservation and a diverse set of skills honed through hands-on experience.
During my attachment program at Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park and my volunteer work with Reefolution Trust, I have gained invaluable expertise in:
Coral Restoration: Engaging in coral planting, nursery maintenance, and out-planting to rejuvenate marine ecosystems.
Marine Debris Cleanups: Organizing and participating in cleanups to protect our oceans.
Community Engagement: Facilitating group discussions and outreach programs to foster local involvement in conservation efforts.
Data Collection and Entry: Gathering and managing data crucial for research and conservation projects.

I am a vet assistant recently joined a game resort and have gotten some interest in wildlife and conservation. Have started learning about wildlife and conservation and want to learn more.
In this new journey i have taken i have fallen in love with giraffe and want to take keen interest in conserving them
