Since July 2025, I have been serving as the Community Advocates Coordinator at WildHub, where I coordinate initiatives to engage, support, and empower our community advocates in advancing WH’s mission. Beyond WildHub, I wear a few different hats. I work as a researcher and lecturer in Sweden, teaching courses on environmental law, political and historical ecology, and disaster risk management. I also mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students, collaborate with faculty members, and contribute to ongoing research projects. I’m passionate about giving back through volunteer work. I support a few conservation and animal welfare organisations with research and advocacy to help drive positive change. When I’m not working, you’ll find me hiking forest trails with my dog or enjoying a good cup of coffee.

I am a lawyer specialized in biodiversity, environmental policy, and human rights, with more than 15 years of experience. I am passionate about contributing to the development of public policies that are fair, participatory, and grounded in human rights. I have been actively engaged in global negotiations under the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) since 2010, the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) since 2017, and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) since 2010, promoting more equitable, effective, and rights-based environmental governance. I am particularly interested in the strategic advocacy of civil society. I have led coordinated action among organizations in Argentina on a wide range of conservation issues and have been repeatedly elected by my peers from NGOs to represent the sector in institutional spaces, fostering collaborative and results-oriented work. Throughout my career, I have worked across multiple sectors -non-profit organizations, government institutions, global networks, and academia- driven by a strong belief in the power of alliances, dialogue, and cooperation to strengthen environmental justice and respond collectively to today’s socio-ecological challenges. I raise funds from international cooperation and philanthropic sources, and design and implement projects and campaigns on land-use planning, wetlands, native forests, terrestrial and marine protected and conserved areas, ecological corridors, restoration, and access to information, participation, and environmental justice. I lead multidisciplinary teams guided by strategic planning, active communication, and impact monitoring. Open to change and knowledge sharing, I am committed to integrating new technologies to enhance efficiency, collaboration, and impact. I drive digital transformation and organizational strengthening processes while promoting gender mainstreaming across institutional strategies and operations.

I am a statistical ecologist and a wildlife biologist currently working with communities for community conservation. Most of my job requires identifying and fostering partnerships and collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including local communities, academic institutions, and international organizations. I am interested in networking with conservation professionals and experts to learn from them, also get to know if there are any funding and learning opportunities for our team and our organization. 

I am a  Postdoctoral researcher with the Arctic Genomics Project, focusing on the use of genomic tools to support wildlife conservation, food security, and Indigenous-led research in the Arctic and Sub-Arctic regions. My work lies at the intersection of conservation biology, climate change, and community-based approaches, with a strong emphasis on ethical and respectful collaboration with Indigenous Peoples.

Hello everyone 🤗, I am Abomo Marthe Phannel, I am a passionate and results-driven young conservationist with a Master's degree in Natural Resources Management and a Bachelor's degree in Physical Geography. With over two years of hands-on experience in the field, I have contributed to climate action and biodiversity conservation projects across Cameroon. My areas of expertise include wildlife identification, ecotourism, community engagement, stakeholder engagement, program coordination, and partnership development. I had the opportunity to work with reputable organizations like the Zoological Society of London (ZSL), where I contributed to species monitoring through advanced tools like camera traps, acoustics sensors and GIS mapping. I am currently working with African Voices for African Forests, where I am in charge of strategic partnerships and the organization of impactful networking events. Bilingual in French and English, and proficient in digital tools, I am committed to advancing environmental sustainability through inclusive and collaborative approaches.

I have an interest in Invasive non native species and ecosystem restoration. I have experience with a range of software such as Vortex 10 Population Viability Analysis to both Arc and QGIS. I am currently a GIS and Data officer for a record center in mid Wales. Prior to this I have mainly been based in the UK working with various Wildlife Trusts and the Joint Nature Conservation Committee.  I have worked on projects in the Osa Peninsula (Costa Rica) across multiple taxa for monitoring and conservation. 

As a graduate of Environmental Science, my background equips me with the requisite skills in hydrology, ecology, Wildlife Management, Environmental Impact Assessment among other fields. My skillset includes but not limited to; Communication skills, Teamwork, Knowledge Sharing, Critical Thinking, Problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. In my current role as an Assistant Environmentalist at Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA), I have been actively involved in environmental monitoring and auditing, developing and implementing environmental management systems, and interpreting field requirements. My responsibilities also include generating environmental progress reports and ensuring compliance with environmental standards, which have equipped me with a solid understanding of field methods and diagnostic tools. My name is Mugiraneza Eulade and I'm from Rwanda 🇷🇼🇷🇼. I am a passionate conservationist with an Advanced Diploma in Wildlife and Conservation Technologies and hands-on experience in wildlife tracking especially chimpanzee, youth mobilization in climate action and environmental protection as a Green Rising Ambassador. I completed a professional internship at Nyungwe National Park, where I participated in a park-wide chimpanzee monitoring survey, enhancing my field and research skills. Currently, I’m pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Wildlife and Landscape Management to deepen my expertise at the same time working as Park Ranger at Nyandungu Eco-park.

Steve joined Wildlife Health Australia in April 2022 as the Program Manager - One Health Surveillance and Wildlife Collaborating Centre for Australia and the Indo-Pacific. Steve graduated from Massey University in New Zealand in ecology and veterinary science. He has worked as a wildlife clinician in several zoos, wildlife rehabilitation centres and conservation projects in Australia, Thailand, Cameroon and UK, and academia in the UK. Steve is a European specialist in Zoo Health Management and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the UK. He has coordinated international, multidisciplinary wildlife health networks in Africa and South-East Asia. As a systems thinker in the One Health space, Steve aims to mitigate adverse environmental health impacts from human activity at the human-wildlife interface in the Indo-Pacific region through interdisciplinary research, capacity development and effective networked risk management. Steve’s research interests focus on wildlife infectious diseases, especially zoonoses, disease risk analysis and mental health of wildlife health practitioners.

Originally from Florida, USA, I received my Bachelors of Science in Zoology from the University of Florida while pursuing research on African dwarf crocodiles and population genetics. I then went to the University of Central Florida to receive my Masters of Science in Biology, publishing my first peer-reviewed paper on the demography and population structure of the endangered Florida Key deer using non-invasive genetic sampling. In 2018 I moved to Nebraska, USA, to work at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium where I worked as the program and grants manager to their field conservation project in Madagascar, the Madagascar Biodiversity Partnership, a Malagasy NGO. Currently, I work for the Conservation Centers for Species Survival, as their Development Associate.
