I am an interdisciplinary researcher with a background in environmental social sciences and humanities, interested in sustainability and environmental protection. My areas of expertise range from environmental history to human geography, from environmental law & policies to environmental management. In recent years, my work has focused on human-nature relationships in water environments and water management (more specifically related to flood risk).   I am passionate about animal welfare and ethology, and I have a mild obsession for beavers and whales, particularly orcas! 

An explorer and an aspirant biodiversity conservation researcher with two years of track record in climate justice advocacy, Just Transition project leadership, and project management. I seek to delve deeper into the study of the human-nature nexus and strive to foster more harmonious coexistence.  I have a brief wildlife conservation experience at Creative Conservation Alliance on Western Hoolock Gibbon and a few other wild animals. Besides, I am undertaking training on snake rescue and other wildlife management from Save Wildlife and Nature (SWAN). I am also working as an Associate Trainer at Mekateam, a game-based pedagogy where I provide trainings on basic climate literacy and biodiversity conservation to youth. Moreover, I synthesize and express my understanding of biodiversity and natural world through my initiative, 'Toru.'  I completed my bachelor's degree from the Department of Development Studies, University of Dhaka. Currently, I am pursuing an MSc degree on GIS in Environment and Development. I aim to produce impactful conservation research on Asian Elephants in 2025 addressing the human-elephant conflict. 

I have been working in community based conservation and protected area policy for the last 20 years. I am now employed by the Australian Government in the Kokoda Initiative Partnership. My key areas of work in Papua New Guinea are community land use and management planning, conservation benefit sharing, capacity building and policy. I enjoy traveling and meeting new people. In my home town I take to hiking, skiing and team activities and am involved in my work, local and global community on various committees and appointments. 

I'm Liane, and I am a WildLearning Specialist at WildTeam! I'm looking forward to getting to know you all! For the last few years, I've been working in Seychelles, focusing on island and marine conservation efforts, particularly coral restoration and turtle nesting monitoring. If you ask me questions about coral, be prepared for me to get very nerdy about it! Prior to that, I was managing a project in Northern Thailand, where I worked closely with a local community to set up ethical elephant experiences in their village. In my free time, I love running and hiking, and being anywhere in nature. I have also learnt to freedive in the last few years and enjoy doing that when possible. I'm really interested in talking to different people and learning from them and their unique experiences.

As a promoter of culture and diversity, Gerald Nkusi is a travel ecopreneur with Adventure Afrika and founder of Home of Kigezi (a Museum of Living Culture and Natural History), Nkunga Eco Village, and the Food Forest Africa movement. His roots and home are in Kisoro, a part of the Kigezi region in Uganda. Starting as a waiter trading long nights of work for education at the famous Makerere University 2006 and a US Exchange Alumni-IVLP 2017, he has transformed into a local and global actor in the cultural heritage and conservation space. Gerald's Food Forest Africa movement is revolutionizing the use of small and waste spaces for food, health, education and environment to help counter food insecurity, poor nutrition, and the degradation of natural resources. 

Uchenna is a Chartered Environmentalist, University Lecturer and on secondment to IFAD-funded LivelihoodImprovement Family Enterprises – Niger Delta (LIFE-ND) Project as Abia State Project Coordinator, a board oftrustee-member of Future Generation University, USA; Chairman - Abia State Chapter of Nigerian Environmental Society (NES); with a doctoral degree in environmental forest ecology. He has over 20 peer-reviewed academic publications, and an international development professional with over 22 years and hasworked at least once in each Nigerian state as an Independent Development Consultant. Also, he hasprovided development consultancy services in India, Nepal, United States of America, Rwanda, Cameroon,United Kingdom and Namibia. Recently, he participated as the Nigerian representative in a-global research titled ‘Developing indicators of Peace’,  piloted by Future Generations University in collaboration with the United States Institute of Peace. Uchenna’s skills include an in-depth understanding of community working systems in developing countries;linking policy analysis and emerging issues to plans; understanding of pro-poor and gender issues indevelopment, an excellent team player, good interpersonal, report writing and communication skills.

My area of interest in primate behaviors, not only because I have a background in zoology and conservation but also as someone who spent most of my time with primates. Moreover, I have some skills related to people vs wildlife conflict around PAs. currently, I'm working as a research assistant in mountain gorilla behavior data collection at Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund | Rwanda.

I am a Wildlife Conservation Scientist, Environmental Educator, and Science Communicator based in Mumbai, India. I am currently a Project Fellow at WCB Research Foundation where I’m involved in sloth bear research, and Director of Media and Comms. for SOLARIS TRAIL CAMERAS, Brisbane.  I completed my Masters of Conservation Science from the University of Queensland and worked on projects involving the conservation and ecology of wild cats, environment awareness campaigns with a Mumbai-based NGO, and science communication. My interests include but are not limited to community-based biodiversity conservation, large mammal ecology, and raising environmental awareness. I enjoy the outdoors, especially birding, photography, hiking, and digital illustration. I joined WildHub to interact with like-minded folk in the field of Wildlife Conservation across the globe. Cleo has an M.Sc. in Applied Animal Behaviour & Animal Welfare from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies (University of Edinburgh) and a B.Sc. in Animal Biology from Stirling University (UK). She has extensive experience in assisting and managing complex research projects for multiple research institutes and private laboratories. She has built up a strong technical background in the South African Bushveld deciphering wild animal behaviour and bio-acoustics, in cancer research and behind an electron microscope looking for a link between positive animal welfare practices and the abundance of microglia (the brain’s primary innate immune cells).

I am Opeyemi Blessing OYAWALE, a first-class wildlife and ecotourism management graduate from the prestigious University of Ibadan, Nigeria, fueled by a deep passion for wildlife research and conservation consultancy. My academic journey has been a quest to understand and contribute to the delicate balance between humanity and the natural world. With a firm foundation in wildlife and ecotourism management, I am on a dedicated path towards becoming a wildlife researcher and consultant. Motivated by my curiosity to explore the complex lives of wildlife, I want to establish a name for myself as a researcher and provide accurate evaluation for conservation initiatives. In addition, my goal is to provide sustainable practice consultations that help close the gap between human activity and the health of the various ecosystems on our planet.
