With a background in psychology, political science, and education, I weave together human-centered narratives that reflect the complexities of conservation work on the ground. Formerly a homeschooling teacher in a remote game reserve, I now work across departments to spotlight untold stories, bridge cultures, and explore the emotional landscape of environmental work.

Hi! My name is Eleonor and I'm an Argentinian currently living in the Netherlands. In the recent years I've specialized in Sustainable Development and Environmental Education. As an advocate towards nature conservation, I've participated for many years in a civil organization in my hometown region. We worked with members of the organization and many stakeholders towards the conservation of the remaining 3% area of forests.  In the present, I've came to Europe to enhance my understanding of conservation from a worldwide perspective. Mr Boka Kondua Dieuleveut , Ingénieur agronome en Gestion des Ressources Naturelles : Faune et Flore de l'Université de Kinshasa,  est le coordinateur principal de l'Environnement et de la Conservation de la Nature au sein de l'ONG Kimbala Développement (K.D). Il a été aussi  Peer Educator du programme  : I Act Italy and Irena Action for Climate Toolkit initié par gouvernement Italien à travers son  Ministère des Affaires étrangères et de la Coopération internationale (Maeci) en partenariat avec l’ Agence Internationale des Énergies Renouvelables (IRENA) , dans l’ optique de renforcer les connaissances et les capacités des jeunes leaders internationaux et locaux  qui  veulent devenir des leaders dans la lutte contre le changement climatique et dans la promotion de la transition énergétique pour un développement durable. En outre , il est l’ initiateur, le concepteur et rédacteur du Programme de Sauvetage des pangolins Africains (en cours de rédaction). Il est également l’ initiateur , le concepteur et rédacteur du projet : BUMBU  vert et résilient aux effets et impacts du changement climatique. Ce projet consiste à impliquer les jeunes et les propriétaires fonciers de cette contrée dans l'identification , la promotion et  la mise en oeuvre des actions communautaires de lutte contre le changement climatique axée sur des éco-gestes dans les écoles , les  église et les différents ménages ainsi que la création des habitations vertes et la restauration des zones vertes par la plantation d'arbres . Notons que Bumbu est est une  commune urbaine vulnérable au changement climatique. I'm also a member of the 12th cohort of the African Union's Corps des Jeunes Volontaires.

Ibrahim is a passionate conservationist dedicated to protecting endangered species and their habitats. With a focus on the unique ecosystems of Somalia, he combines extensive field research with a deep understanding of local ecological practices. Holding a Master of Science in Forest and Nature Conservation from Wageningen University, along with a Postgraduate Certificate in Peace and Conflict Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Community Development, Ibrahim blends academic knowledge with practical experience. For over a decade, he has worked in the non-profit biodiversity conservation sector, collaborating with international NGOs and UN agencies to drive impactful initiatives. His research includes in-depth analyses of frankincense harvesting regions in Somalia, where he has authored numerous papers on site management and conservation strategies. Ibrahim is committed to promoting sustainable practices that foster harmonious coexistence between communities and wildlife, and he aspires to further his impact through a PhD in the near future.

Wildlife biologist with cross-cutting interests in wildlife conservation technologies, wildlife and ecological research, climate change. 

I help run a UK charity that builds the capacity of conservationists to plan, implement, monitor, and report on their work. I also have a fair bit of experience in tiger and sea turtle conservation.

Cleo has an M.Sc. in Applied Animal Behaviour & Animal Welfare from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies (University of Edinburgh) and a B.Sc. in Animal Biology from Stirling University (UK). She has extensive experience in assisting and managing complex research projects for multiple research institutes and private laboratories. She has built up a strong technical background in the South African Bushveld deciphering wild animal behaviour and bio-acoustics, in cancer research and behind an electron microscope looking for a link between positive animal welfare practices and the abundance of microglia (the brain’s primary innate immune cells).

My background is mainly in species conservation, education and capacity exchange. I researched mother-young interactions in gorillas and chimpanzees, in captivity and the wild. After that, I worked for three years in Indonesia, where I developed and implemented youth ambassador and community engagement programmes on local and regional scales. I co-founded WildHub, a community of nature conservation professionals, in 2020 and work as their Community Lead. I am furthermore on the Advisory Board of the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE) at the University of Kent where I obtained my PhD on capacity development for conservation in 2022. 

I am a marine biology graduate with an MSc in conservation from Plymouth Uni. I use to be the assistant community manager of WildHub and. have a passion for science communication and bringing people together. 🦇 In my spare time I have a blog as well as a Redbubble shop where I sell my artwork. He has relevant experience in different Triple Helix organizations in Brazil, in management positions. Professional with knowledge of the business environment, social responsibility / third sector, and education in Brazil and Latin America, especially in the aspects of institutional management, market intelligence, network development, has a degree in social communication and public administration. He obtained his specialization, masters, and a doctorate in these areas, and the international diploma GUDS / Urban Management and Sustainable Development (by the World Bank / UN-ECLAC / MINURVI / Italian Coop) In 2001. Has a solid background in Social Program Management, Strategic Planning, BSC, Participatory Appraisal, Project Logical Framework, Resource Mobilization, and Fundraising (by The Resource Alliance) held in Brazil and abroad.

Greetings, I'm Ussi Abuu, a prominent Conservation Catalyst within the WildHub community, stationed in the beautiful landscapes of Zanzibar, Tanzania. I proudly serve as the INDUSTRY 5.0 Ambassador in Tanzania, advocating for sustainable industrial practices, and I also hold the role of Tanzania Coordinator at the Global Sustainable Future Progress through Partnership network. My journey towards environmental and social progress has been rich and diverse. I previously contributed to the Tanzania Development Trust as a mapper, utilizing geographical data to support development initiatives. Additionally, my commitment to global betterment led me to join the United Nations Volunteers program in 2016, where I've continued to make a meaningful impact. Together, we can explore the vast realm of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and how they intertwine with my experiences and endeavors. Join me on this journey towards a more sustainable and equitable world.

Three species of African pangolins are found in the Dzanga Sangha Forest Reserve, a dense tropical rainforest reserve in the southwestern tip of the Central African Republic. I conduct ecological research and manage a budding community monitoring initiative for the Sangha Pangolin Project. Monitoring the local pangolin scale trade, camera trapping, promoting community science, understanding local perceptions, and mapping community forest areas to better serve the local and indigenous communities are my main areas of focus. 

I studied Marine Biology in San Diego, California and Wildlife Biology & Conservation in Edinburgh, Scotland. I volunteered, interned, and worked in various capacities at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Hopkins Marine Station, and on a small whale-watching outfit prior to my MSc, and I now work as a Program Delivery Facilitator at the SMUD Museum of Science and Curiosity in Sacramento, California. My passions lie in informal science education, outreach, and public engagement in the sciences.
