In Argentina, the epicenter of the crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic occurs in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires. The Matanza-Riachuelo Basin is located at the very heart of it. Right there we have an ally against floods and other effects of climate change while being a reserve of biodiversity and fresh water at the same time.
Nature is essential to guarantee the human right to health. Protecting this green space of 500 hectares is protecting the quality of life of almost 6 million people.
Get to know this incredible oasis a few kilometers from the Federal Capital. Because today more than ever before we need this Ciudad Evita wetland to become a natural reserve

Wonderful initiative! Cities have been expanding over the last two decades, and we are breaking our relationship with Nature. Municipalities have a strong power to establish urban protected areas and other urban conservation mechanisms that may contribute to re-connecting people with Nature in many ways. Well done, Ana and Buenos Aires!
