Chats with conservationists about their lives, careers, challenges, and what makes a difference for wildlife. In this interview, I talk to Jon Slaght, Wildlife Conservation Society about his work in the Russian far east trying to secure a home for the largest owl in the world.
There are 3 parts to this interview.
In part 2 Jon talks about the intriguing characters he met, how his career has developed over time, and reflections on how the covid pandemic will effect conservation work in the future.
Executive Director, WildTeam UK
I help run a UK charity that builds the capacity of conservationists to plan, implement, monitor, and report on their work. I also have a fair bit of experience in tiger and sea turtle conservation.
