I am excited to introduce WildEd Zim, a new initiative dedicated to placing conservation education at the heart of biodiversity conservation in Zimbabwe.

Too often, conservation education has been treated as a “nice to have”—a line item for attracting funders or a side activity tied to leftover budgets. Meanwhile, the focus tends to fall on species research, community development, or human-wildlife conflict mitigation.

At WildEd Zim, we believe that conservation education is not an afterthought—it is the bridge that connects all these areas. It links science with people’s daily lives, transforms awareness into action, and builds the culture of stewardship that makes conservation sustainable.

Our mission is simple but powerful: to empower children and youth to champion biodiversity conservation through creative, community-based learning.

We have just launched our presence on LinkedIn, where we will be sharing updates, insights, and opportunities to collaborate. I would love for you to follow and connect with us there:

This is only the beginning of our journey, and we are looking forward to collaborating with conservationists, educators, and organisations who share this vision.

💚 Together, we can build a future where people and nature thrive side by side.
