Salary: £23,284 a year

Location: Home-based, anywhere in the UK

Hours: Full-time, 4 days a week. WildTeam has a full-time working week of 4 days, Monday to Thursday (28 hours). This position will include working some evening hours.

Annual leave: 30 days

Contract Type: Fixed-term 12-month contract (with 3-month probation period). This role will cover some maternity leave responsibilities.

Job description

WildTeam UK is seeking a conservationist to join our team as a WildLearning Specialist. This position will report to the Director, Training and Operations and will be responsible for delivering and administering online training workshops in subjects such as:

  • Stakeholder Engagement for Wildlife Conservation
  • Monitoring and Evaluation for Wildlife Conservation
  • Project Management for Wildlife Conservation
  • Strategy Development for Wildlife Conservation
  • Grant Writing for Wildlife Conservation.

 The successful candidate will receive on the job training so that you are able to deliver training in some of these subjects. More information on our best practices and training workshops can be found on our website. The work will be done remotely, from home to deliver our online training workshops (with the need for a strong internet connection), but there may be the need for some UK travel to attend annual meetings.

 This position will suit someone with a graduate degree in a wildlife conservation-related subject and, ideally, someone with at least 1-2 years work experience in conservation work. Experience of delivering training is also highly desirable. The responsibilities of the position, along with the experience and skills needed, are detailed in Table 1.
