Probono - team capacity building

Is your not-for-profit conservation organisation keen to solve a problem and intentionally build leadership skills at the same time? I am offering two organisations three sessions of action learning team coaching, at no cost.

Action Learning is a team coaching process where the team works with the coach to simultaneously build leadership capability and solve an urgent and important problem or opportunity. You can read a short case study of how action learning was used for protected area management planning in Papua New Guinea here https://wial.org/wp-content/uploads/Action-Learning-for-reserve-planning-in-Papua-New-Guinea.pdf

If this opportunity is of interest to you and your not-for-profit conservation organisation, please send me a short (approx 100 words) expression of interest, indicating what problem or opportunity you might work on and how building capability in your leadership team could benefit your organisation or project you are responsible for. The leadership team (4-8 people) will need to be able to individually participate using English language via Zoom (or MS teams) and session times may need to consider international times zones (I am located in Canberra, Australia, GMT +10).  Session duration may be 2 hrs for the first and 1 - 1.5hrs for the second and third sessions.  EOI due by 26 March 2023.

You can read more about action learning here at the World Institute for Action Learning here https://wial.org/

You can learn more about myself and my coaching skills at www.rossrowecoaching.com

I look forward to working with you and your leadership (or project) team to build capability and solve an urgent and important problem.

Wonderful opportunity! Thanks for sharing @Ross Rowe

@Estrela Matilde : Perhaps this would be a useful opportunity for your team based on what you shared in your introduction post that one of your priorities is the capacity building or our team?

@Grace Alawa : perhaps you or someone you know would be interested in this opportunity as well?

Dear @Thirza Loffeld , thank you for raising this with us! It is indeed a fantastic opportunity. The language is always a problem for our team - they only speak Portuguese, which means we cannot use the majority of these courses and training. But we will keen an eye on future opportunities!

Hi Estrela, you're most welcome and I understand the language challenge. I will let my colleagues know about it with regards to the WildTeam training resources, thank you for sharing.

@Adam Barlow : any update on translating our training resources to other languages, in particular Portuguese?

Thanks for telling us about what your team needs. That helps us prioratise activities such as translations. We have translations (including into portuguese) on the list but have not secured funding to make that happen yet. Hopefully we will be able to do something in the next couple of years. Very sorry that you have to wait till then.
