Hellooo, I'm Shera from Indonesia!
Hellooo,
I am Shera from Sulawesi, Indonesia. You know... that K-looking island in Southeast Asia with so many fascinating endemic wildlife! I am so excited to be one of the Conservation Coach, supporting three Conservation Catalysts @Muthoni Njuguna , @LORETTA ANDRADE, and Fai! This is my first time being a coach in Wild Hub, so I am keen to learn more about this role as we are working together :D.
I am the Co-Executive Director of PROGRES, a Sulawesi-based NGO in Indonesia to initiate and empower locally-led conservation to protect threatened yet overlooked wildlife, like bats, tortoises, and cuscus (marsupials on trees!). I'd previously worked in Wildlife Conservation Society Indonesia for three years as a Conservation Scientist, leading a science-based approach in conservation (e.g. forest biodiversity, wildlife trade and policy, and green infrastructure) and capacity building initiative. Sometimes, I felt too much wildlife in my introduction #LOL but yeah I also obtained my MS degree in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation at the University of Florida... a while ago. I am so excited though to start my PhD journey August this year!
Thank you! So excited to get to know everyone as well and contribute to the community.
