I have always been intrigued and drawn towards Wildlife and found Human – Animal Interface, Environmental Enrichment of Animals Bred in Captivity & of those Rescued from severe Abuse for Human Benefit , Conservation of Species and Habitats of Interest and Importance. I would like to consider a Career Change into Wildlife Conservation for the 2nd innings of My Life, thus, making a start with acquiring professional knowledge in the field of Wildlife Conservation. I am a First class graduate in Microbiology and Biochemistry, volunteered at Veterinary clinics, and also hold a great interest in Veterinary medicines and ways of handling, capture, anaethesia of wild animals. All Animals exhibit varying behaviours when under stress or they need to be relocated and it is truly amazing to see and learn how veterinary professionals, conservationists, animal handlers, work in perfect co-ordination thereby driving success of any task that needs to be completed. I have a lot to learn from this training and many who have been in the field of Wildlife Conservation and I look forward to building my knowledge and skills and contribute subsequently utilizing my corporate acquired skills and the knowledge on Wildlife Conservation that I gain.

I am an environmental economist so most of my professional life I worked on projects that related to "human habitats". But since I have been a child I have been fascinated and have a special way of connecting with animals. So working across worlds and finding effective ways to protect ecosystems is my passion. It is a privilege for me to exchange and connect with people who have been involved all their lives in conservation.

Hi I'm Jen. I am 52 years old  -I have been passionate about Nature & Wildlife my whole life and was brought up in the UK in Devon and then Norfolk, so always surrounded by the wild landscapes and what they have to offer! I now live in Lancashire by the sea but we have access to the countryside within 5 minutes in every direction.  My week is spent between working for The Wildlife Trust & running my Property Rental Business. The rest of the time is doing our 1/3 acre garden which is totally dedicated to nature and the environment. I Volunteer 2 other days a week with my local Wildlife Trust covering roles from Visitor Engagement and Marketing, to woodland conservation, physically tending the reserves, hedge laying, botany surveys, assisting with Beach School on Sand Dunes and much more. I joined WildHub to connect with likeminded people and to complete courses, gathering helpful resources along the way .  I have begun to participate in various training courses and roles and additionally have become involved in local green woodworking groups, forestry societies and more - it has become an addiction!!! :) Also, I am very passionate about mindfulness, wellbeing, forest bathing, wild swimming and spending as much of my time as possible outdoors.  I'm lucky to have travelled to many countries across the world looking at local wildlife, such as South Africa, Canada, USA, and lots of Europe. Additionally I donate to various Wildlife Conservation Charities both in the UK and abroad.  The environment, sustainability and conservation are the things I want to concentrate on from now on.
