Hi Moureen! Welcome to the Wildhub community. With a background in travel and tourism management when did you know you wanted to focus on conservation education?

I knew that I needed to focus on conservation education after doing my internship in one of Uganda's national parks (Lake Mburo national park) where I realized the surrounding communities needed conservation talks so as to protect the prestigious animals in that park.

A warm welcome to WildHub Moureen! Wonderful to have you join us.

What has been your most important learning moment so far during your work as Conservation Educator?

I would recommend having a look at our upcoming WildHub socials (information here ) - it's a great way of sharing knowledge and getting to know each other in our WildHub community.

My most important learning moment is realizing that effective communication and education are as crucial as scientific knowledge in the field of conservation. By this I mean understanding how to connect with diverse audiences, convey the urgency of conservation issues, and inspire action.
