Hello to all members of the community. My name is José Antonio Díaz Luque, I was born in Spain (specifically in sunny Málaga) and for 14 years I have been proudly dedicated to empowering communities and local leaders to be the driving force of conservation processes in the areas where they live.
I am passionate about working with highly threatened species, with major conservation problems that are driven by complex socio-cultural situations that require immediate solutions for the future of the species and the community. I have based my career mainly in Latin America and the Pacific, specifically with critically endangered species, macaws and crows. I believe in the power of local people, in their knowledge and leadership capacity.
I am currently developing Endangered Conservation (EC), a consulting firm specialized in the development and strengthening of small conservation organizations that generate or intend to generate a great impact for the conservation of ecosystems, populations and species worldwide.
I am here to help and learn, a lot, from you all. I am sure this is the right place to do it. I will be sharing my knowledge with you and I will try to interact as much as possible. We have a lot of work ahead of us, but the fact that communities like these exist makes my day and gives me the strength to continue.
Please contact me if you think I can help you in any way.
Greetings to all.
