THE BIGGEST CHALLENGES FACING US ARE MADE UP OF COMPLEX, INTERCONNECTED PARTS
People need better ways to understand

Climate Interactive is an independent, not-for-profit think-tank that grew out of MIT Sloan in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. Based on a long tradition of system dynamics modeling, our simulations and insights help people see connections, play out scenarios, and see what works to address climate change, inequity, and related issues like energy, health, and food. Climate Interactive was named the top US Energy and Environment think tank, by Prospect Magazine.

Climate Interactive creates interactive, easy-to-use, and scientifically rigorous simulations that enable people to see connections, play out scenarios, and see what works to address the biggest challenges we face. Our simulations are built using the long tradition of system dynamics modeling out of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. All of our simulations are created out of a common set of principles, and are:
THINKING-, LEARNING-, AND ACTION-ORIENTED: Our simulations are designed to support conversations in groups who wish to test their assumptions, create customized scenarios, and share their insights with others.
COMPLEMENTARY, NON-COMPETITIVE: Our simulations tend to complement other analysis, like those from more disaggregated models, and are scaled to run on personal computers for widespread use.
TRANSPARENT, OPEN: Equations, assumptions, parameters, and data are accessible and shared.
