Thirza Loffeld

WildHub Community Manager, WildTeam UK

My background is mainly in species conservation, education and capacity development. I researched mother-young interactions in gorillas and chimpanzees, in captivity and the wild. After that, I worked for three years in Indonesia, where I developed and implemented youth ambassador and community engagement programmes on local and regional scales. I work as Community Manager at WildHub since 2020, and I am an Associate Member of the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE) at the University of Kent where I obtained my PhD on capacity development for conservation in 2022.
Charlie Drapala

Ecologist, Arbtech

I am a conservation biologist with a degree in Animal and Conservation Biology. I have previously volunteered with the Scottish Wildlife Trust for almost 5 years, where I took part in delivering environmental education workshops, organising and running campaigns, and leading events. I have also volunteered with The Conservation Volunteers where I undertook practical conservation work such as small woodland creation and habitat enhancement. I now work as an ecologist in the south of England. I enjoy hiking, travelling, and learning Spanish :)  If you'd like to connect, I'm on LinkedIn and Instagram.

I am the founder of Ubuntu Magazine. We share personal stories from the frontlines of conservation globally.  I have a background as a Applied Biologist and have been traveling the African continent since September '22 in a Land Rover Defender. Alongside watching wildlife and learning more about new countries and cultures, we (my partner and I) visit projects for Ubuntu Magazine.

Lara Reden

WildHub Community Advocate, Self-employed

I want to find new ways to have a positive impact on the environment and communities around the world. How I do this is pretty open; I have wide-ranging interests (including the arts and spending time outside) and am willing to adapt to changing circumstances.  I'm volunteering for the WildHub community and am happy to answer questions about the platform and do what I can to help connect people.

Rebecca Jefferson

Founder and Director , Human Nature

I am a social scientist and passionate about increasing the application of social science research and methods in the conservation sector. To do this, I founded Human Nature. Human Nature is a social enterprise empowering conservation professionals to use social sciences to impact people and planet. We provide training and mentorship to NGOs, academics, policy makers and others wishing to build their foundations in social science. Many people working in conservation have trained through natural science routes, and find themselves needing to better understand the people elements of ecosystems. Social science provides the tools do this. Please get in touch if you are interested in hearing more about what we do.  You can contact me at
Temitope Rebecca Adelola

Ecosystems Restoration Monitoring Consultant, FAO

Where is restoration taking place around the world, and how is it being tracked? This is an important question that should put ecosystem monitoring at the forefront to achieve both quantitative and qualitative goals. That's where my work comes in—launching data-driven solutions for monitoring, reporting, and guiding investment. Because both people and the planet matter.

Owner, Wildlifeel at Home

Hello Everyone :) My field is in Interior Architecture from the accredited Columbia College Chicago, with most of my years with small design/build firms here in the PNW. I'm now freelancing so I can build Wildlifeel at Home - a blog and design studio centered around 'conservation-based design/build practices' - so I can help change my industry from within. I seek to create homes in such a way that allows wildlife to keep theirs, too, because one home no longer needs to be sacrificed for the other to thrive. I also live off-grid in a small one-room cabin on acreage in the foothills of a national park. I care for the woodland creatures, the food forest, endless evergreens, fish laden creeks, wildlife meadows and more. I'm here to make long-lasting friendships and to learn from the many other conservationists on WildHub!
Hi everyone. My name is Ben Potter and I recently graduated from Newcastle University in the UK. I've just come back to UK from travelling around South-East Asia for 3 months and I'm now in the early phases of launching a start-up called RŪKHA! RŪKHA is a lifestyle brand for wildlife-lovers interested in preserving the most delicate ecosystems and endangered animals around the world. I'm looking to connect with conservation experts and project-leaders around the globe to discuss how RŪKHA can help fund their projects. If you would like to get in touch and find out more, please email me at Cheers, Ben

Beth Robinson

Consultant, Biodiversify

I'm a WildLearning Specialist with WildTeam, a bit of an odd job title. My main role is to design, deliver and organise both our online and class-based training courses. One of the best parts of my job is meeting other conservationists and learning about the work that they do. Before working for WildTeam I did a PhD in invasive plants and human-wildlife interactions. I find it really interesting to learn about the ways people interact with nature, both when nature is being wonderful, but also when it is being a bit annoying!
Adam Barlow

Executive Director, WildTeam UK

I help run a UK charity that builds the capacity of conservationists to plan, implement, monitor, and report on their work. I also have a fair bit of experience in tiger and sea turtle conservation.
